The Host Tel Virtual service is the modern way to streamline incoming faxes. No more hard to read faxes that get lost or just sit on the Fax machine. The Host Tel way allows you to receive all your faxes in your inbox as a PDF that you can read on screen, zoom in on, forward onto someone or print if you need a hard copy.

The cost of a business phone line as of February 2012 is $41.91 per month. That equates to $503 a year before you even price in a fax machine, paper and toner. With Host Tel’s Virtual faxing you can save money and add functionality.

The Host Tel virtual fax has 2 components this separates the functions of sending and receiving faxes. The Sending component utilises a software application that is installed on your desktop computer/s once this is installed and configured with your account details you can quickly and efficiently send any document, image or webpage straight to the fax client.

The second component is for receiving faxes, this component is hosted on our Virtual fax server. When a fax is sent to your number our server receives the fax and immediately converts it into a PDF and delivers it to you via email. We can even direct the emails to multiple recipients if you so desire.

No more missed faxes, have you ever missed a fax because the machine was broken, was the power off or had no one refiled the machine with toner or paper? These problems are also eliminated as Host Tel’s Virtual Fax is always online, our Virtual Fax service can even receive multiple faxes for you simultaneously.

With the ever increasing use of mobile communications no longer having your faxes tied to a physical location enables to you view your faxes on your smart phone or laptop no matter where you might be.

Features

Desktop Faxing

The Host Tel faxing application means you can send faxes from any computer with the application installed, this means multiple people can all send faxes at once giving you the functionality of having multiple fax machines and phone lines without the cost.
All sent faxes also email you a confirmation report so you can be sure your faxes are being received at the other end.

Receiving faxes by email

When the Host Tel Virtual fax receives a fax for you it is immediately converted into a PDF and emailed to you so you now immediately receive your faxes without having to wait until someone realises there is a fax sitting on the machine.
Because the Host Tel Virtual fax is completely digital it does not have the restrictions of phone lines, your fax account can receive and send multiple faxes simultaneously so no more waiting for anyone.

Never miss a fax again

Traditional Faxes are a problem waiting to happen, how often do they run out of paper or toner? They break down or you can have a problem with the phone line or even lose power to the site. None of these problems affect your fax service with Host Tel and the ability to receive multiple faxes simultaneously means you won’t be missing faxes anymore.

Keep your existing fax number

Similarly to how you can transfer mobile numbers between carriers you can do the same with land line numbers but unlike traditional carriers you no longer need to be connected to the same exchange to retain a phone number. So even if you move your office your number can now move with you.

Fax Broadcasting

Host Tel’s Fax broadcasting allows you to send faxes out to large numbers of recipients, our system routinely handles large broadcasts to thousands of numbers. Our system will also provide you with detailed reports on what numbers accepted the fax so you can easily see exactly how many recipients received your fax.

Virtual Fax FAQ

Can we keep our existing Fax number?

Absolutely, similarly to how you can transfer mobile numbers between carriers you can do the same with land line numbers but unlike traditional carriers you no longer need to be connected to the same exchange to retain a phone number. So even if you move your office your number can now move with you.

What happens if two people try to fax us at the same time or two of our users try to fax out at the same time?

This is actually one of the benefits using our virtual fax service, you can send and receive multiple faxes simultaneously as we have a very large pool of digital lines for our fax servers to use.

When we receive a fax how do we view it?

Faxes are emailed to you in PDF or TIFF format depending on your preference, both these file formats can be viewed easily with either built in viewers or freely available viewers. The additional function of being able to zoom in on a screen can often assist in reading hard to see details that would not be readable from a traditional fax.
